Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

Overview

AppointmentFind is a directory service that helps people find available appointments with healthcare practitioners. We do not handle bookings directly, and we do not require visitor accounts. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.

Practitioner and Business Information We Display

We collect and display information about healthcare practitioners and their businesses that is already publicly available on third-party websites and booking platforms (such as JaneApp, Noterro, ClinicSense, and GoRendezvous). This includes:

  • Practitioner names, professional titles, and profile photos
  • Business names, addresses, and contact information
  • Treatment types, descriptions, and durations
  • Appointment availability and scheduling information

This information is collected to operate the directory service and help visitors find available appointments. We do not collect any practitioner information that is not already publicly accessible through their booking platform.

Practitioner Opt-Out and Data Deletion

If you are a practitioner or business owner listed on AppointmentFind and would like to opt out, you may request that we remove all of your information from our service. Upon receiving a valid request, we will:

  • Remove your profile, treatment listings, and availability data from our directory
  • Delete any stored profile photos or media associated with your listing
  • Exclude your practice from future data collection

To request removal, please email [email protected] with the name or booking link of your practice. We aim to process removal requests within 10 business days.

Information Collected from Site Visitors

We do not require accounts, logins, or registration. We collect only basic, anonymous data to operate and improve the site:

  • Site Analytics: Page views, button clicks, and general usage patterns collected through Google Analytics and PostHog
  • Device Information: Browser type, device type, screen size, and operating system
  • Location Data: When you use the map search feature, your approximate geographic location is used to show nearby practitioners. This data is not stored on our servers.
  • Problem Reports: If you report an issue with a listing, we collect your description and the affected business reference

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information from visitors unless voluntarily provided (e.g., when contacting us via email).

How We Use Visitor Data

The anonymous data we collect from site visitors is used to:

  • Display relevant search results based on your location
  • Understand general usage patterns and which features are most useful
  • Identify and fix technical issues

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog use cookies to collect anonymous usage statistics
  • Session tracking: A device identifier helps us understand usage patterns without identifying individual visitors

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. This will not prevent you from using the site, but may affect analytics accuracy.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — anonymous site usage statistics
  • PostHog — product analytics and usage patterns

When you click through to book an appointment, you are redirected to the practitioner's booking platform (such as JaneApp, Noterro, ClinicSense, or GoRendezvous). Those platforms have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your booking information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party booking platforms.

Data Retention

Practitioner data is retained for as long as it remains publicly available on the source booking platform, or until a removal request is processed.

Anonymous analytics data is retained according to the retention policies of Google Analytics and PostHog. We do not maintain separate long-term storage of visitor analytics.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the data we store from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Practitioner data is stored in a secured database with access limited to authorized personnel.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. If you are a practitioner listed on our service, see the opt-out section above. For all other inquiries, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
